Comments

It was brought to my attention that some of you were not able to leave comments for us on this blog page. Half the purpose of this page is so that we can hear from you all while we are away! So my computer wise, good friend Maria has fixed the problem for me. Now if you click on the comments button at the bottom of the posting you can go in and leave a comment and choose anonymous identity and then publish your comments. If you choose anonymous rather than going through the google registration process, please let us know who is leaving the comment. LOL

I will be posting more often when our Alaska trip gets closer, but our trial run short trip to Texas is approaching fast and my stomache does little flip flops just thinking about it. But I have been talking with our niece Crissie for the last couple of days and she is so excited that we are coming to see her graduate and spend some time with their family. Here is a picture of Crissie as Military Ball Queen recently.

Isn't she BEAUTIFUL!! She takes after her Aunt
Penny of course!! LOL I can still remember that first
day we brought her home from Hawaii to stay with
us while her Dad was gone away on Army duty. She
was this short, chunky cute as a button little thing. Of
course Rod and I had just spent 17 hours on airplanes
trying to quiet her down and keep her entertained.
Very difficult for a 2 year old, especially since she
had only met us a few days earlier. She never slept the
whole trip until we got in the car for the drive North
from Metro. Once we got home she popped awake and started running
through the house laughing. Of course she had 3 boys just laughing and chasing her too and Uncle Jim just grinning from ear to ear at that cute little girl! You are special to us Crissie! We LUV U!
Please bare with me as I learn to set up these pages better!!

WELCOME FAMILY & FRIENDS

Welcome to our Blog Page. I have started this blog to keep our friends and family updated and to let you all share in our upcoming Alaska vacation. We don't leave until July 4th but we are counting the days until the fireworks begin in Anchorage and we watch them from our hotel in the dusk of the evening at midnight. Our itinerary is set for the most part and most of the trip is paid for with a few exceptions that need paid on our arrival and anything we decide to add later. Like I am still trying to convince myself that a flightseeing trip would be worth the fear and terror I would be going through to see the beauty from above and to make Jim really happy. Any encouragement from the audience will help!

We will be taking a short trip in June that will be a trial run for our traveling. We will be flying (not my choice of travel) to Texas on June 6th to watch our favorite niece Crissie, graduate from High School! We are so proud of her and excited to go see my brother Johnny and his family.

I will be posting things periodically until our actual trip and will begin daily when we leave for Texas. I hope you all enjoy with us and please let us hear from you all!
